Middleburg 5K Theme is - Fox and Hounds
Foxhunting began in England in the 16th century to control the annoying foxes. Nowadays, foxhunting is a sport in which people in all countries participate in for fun. To add a touch of Middleburg to this event, all runners will enjoy a Stirrup Cup after the Huntmaster gives a toast, then the Middleburg Hunt will sound the horn to start our race.
Middleburg 5K Course
The Middleburg 5K course will take you though some incredible scenery right from the heart of Middleburg. The race begins and ends behind the Middleburg Community Center and runners will run on roads going east towards the Middleburg Community Charter School and turn left on to Madison Street. On the return to town, runners will loop through the beautiful Salamander Resort, to the finish line behind the Community Center.
